    “Island of Warriors” – reception, screening and panel discussion

    National Public Radio was the location of a screening of "Island of Warriors" introduced by Izzy Smith, director of NPR programming. Maria Hinojosa moderated a panel with Director of the Veterans Administration Sierra Pacific Network Sheila Cullen, Teresita Smith of the National Association of Chamorro Veterans in America, and Neil Weare, founder of We The People Project. Veterans Roland Ada and Victor Duncga and director of the VA Vet Center in Guam, Dr. Edward Santos - all featured in the episode - participated live via Skype. Rodney Cruz, founder of the Iraq Afghanistan Persian Gulf Veterans of the Pacific, also participated via Skype. 100 attended and participated in a discussion about how services for veterans in Guam could be improved.
