Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals is a U. S. immigration policy that allows undocumented immigrants who entered the country before their 16th birthday and before June 2007 to receive a renewable two-year work permit, temporary resident status, and exemption from deportation.
According to the U. S. Census Bureau, Asian Americans constitute the fastest growing racial group in this country, increasing at four times the rate of the overall population. While the Asian American population is projected to double in size from 17 million people in 2014 to more than 40 million by 2060, its voting power has already nearly doubled in the past decade.
